We, the Carter family, were able to talk to Reed for about 1.5 hours on Christmas day. He sounded like he is happy. He is enjoying the work and getting along with his companion. Lydia figured out how to talk to the phone and then started to talk to the calculator next to the phone....very funny! Here is a picture of him and his companion that a member took and sent from a dinner appointment...very thoughtful....since we would have never gotten it from technically challenged Reed. I think this might be a different companion than we heard in the background during the talk. Reed said he has gained about 15 lbs. I think it makes him look more like Brett.
